BrandsHub is a small review site covering the brands and products we use day to day. Here is how the reviews are put together.
We buy what we review
Products are bought at retail unless stated otherwise. When a brand sends something for free, the review says so at the top.
One scoring system
Every product is scored 0-5 on the same criteria, so a 4.2 means the same thing across brands and categories.
Pros and cons, always
If we cannot name at least one real drawback, the review is not finished.
Affiliate links are labelled
Some links earn a commission. They never change a score, and we link to the seller we would use ourselves.
How we score
Each review carries one overall score out of 5, plus an optional scorecard breaking that number down by criterion — build quality, value, ease of use, and whatever else matters for the category. The overall score is an editorial judgement, not an average of the scorecard.
